I have a 2010 Mac Mini with NVIDIA GeForce 9400 connected to a 24 LCD screen using mini-DVI - DVI.
Few months back, I started to notice some green snowing on the screen with black image. Now, it is getting worse that the whole screen will turn snowy with no picture. Turning the monitor off/on will not solve the issue. Even rebooting the mini will not solve the issue.

I tested the LCD by connect my MacBook pro MDP -> DVI. The LCD will show perfect picture. Afterwards, if I connect the LCD back to Mac Mini, it will look fine in the beginning. Then, after some random time (few minutes or half an hour), it will start snowy again and become un-usable.

I am not sure what this means. I am ordering a new mini-DVI - DVI cable to see if it will fix the problem.
